Half day to full day events are a time for groups to explore issues critical to corporate and personal growth and well-being on a deeper level. It is a time where the individual can take a break from the dynamic flow of life, and focus on themselves. It is a time of gifting to oneself the opportunity to ask questions, questions that day to day life doesn’t have a framework to answer. It is an opportunity to reacquaint ourselves with the needs, concerns and doubts that have been neglected, due to busy lives, and seek help to find balance in the safety of peers.

What is Redshift?

“Early in the twentieth century, astronomers noticed that distant galaxies had peculiar light spectra. Specifically, the galaxies’ light spectra were shifted toward the red end of the spectrum. In 1929 astronomer Edwin Hubble compared the galaxies’ spectra with their distances, calculated using different methods, and showed that the amount of “red shift” was proportional to distance. Hubble and others realized that the most obvious explanation for the “redshift” was that the galaxies were receding from Earth and each other, and the farther the galaxy, the faster the recession.

This conclusion is based on a cosmological effect that is similar to the everyday “Doppler shift.” Doppler shift is what makes a car sound lower-pitched as it moves away from you. It turns out that a special version of this everyday effect applies to light as well—if an astronomical object is moving away from the Earth, its light will be shifted to longer (red) wavelengths.” -P. Literary Precedence for Redshift Seminars

As the universe continues to expand, birthing galaxies and moving toward ever-new frontiers, we see the perfection of Creation, and the parallel this phenomenon shares with human potential. We grab hold of a phrase, “Redshift”, and are smitten anew, with the abstract, a distant galaxy, 13 billion light years away, an infinite universe, ever expanding, and our souls, infinite worlds within themselves. To find relevance in this preposterous metaphor, let’s turn to our old friend Jorge Luis Borges, the late Dean of South American Letters, himself one of the firmaments brightest stars:

1 Corinthians 13:12 (Latin Vulgate) “Videmus nunc per speculum in aegnigmate: tuc autem facie ad faciem. Nunc cognosco ex parte: tunc autem cognoscam sicut et cognitus sum”.

From Jorge Luis Borges’, “Mirror of Enigmas”, as he interpreted the fragments of ‘Leon Bloy’s’ recanting of St. Paul’s seminal thought:

’The statement by St Paul: Videmus nunc per speculum in aegnimate, would be a skylight through which one might submerge himself in the true Abyss, which is the soul of man. The terrifying immensity of the firmament’s abyss is an illusion, an external reflection of our own abysses, perceived “in a mirror.” We should invert our eyes and practice a sublime astronomy in the infinitude of our hearts, for which God was willing to die…If we see the Milky Way, it is because it actually exists in our souls.’

My driving motive as a seminar leader, is to help others realize their authentic, God given nature; free of limiting beliefs and egocentric barriers that corrode our humanity, rather than strengthen it.

Our world was created with perfect symmetry, harmony and balance; engineered and imagined to sustain life on earth indefinitely. But, as a race of beings, we have exercised our freewill to the detriment of this immaculate blueprint, bringing degradation to its most integral component, Truth! We have sought to subjugate the implacable nature of our Creator, harness the intangible essence of the sacred, and commercialize our beliefs at the expense of our souls.

By breaking down the barriers to communication so that individuals and business’ can thrive, to assist in the Upliftment of Humankind, to suggest the possibility of a life lived with an open mind, to assist others expand the boundary of their own universe, and to explore the infinitude of our potential in conscious awareness, this is the mission of Redshift Seminars. My hope is that together, we might find our way back to the true path we were created to walk. No amount of mental gymnastics will heal the deep wounds in our lives; but, by discovering the core of who we are beyond the cultural and societal mythology we all suffer from, by allowing our Inner Spirit to awaken to true Spirituality, honoring the dignity of the Soul, and embracing the Creative Force of Life, then, and only then, can we find who we are, why we are here, and have the healing we all need. Helping to facilitate this process is the mission of Redshift Seminars.
