Thinking Out of the Box to Succeed
Cooperation, Coordination and Collaboration
Collaboration is a mutually beneficial and well-defined relationship entered into by two or more entities to achieve common goals.
The most powerful and successful working relationships exist when two or more parties come together with a keen understanding of one another’s dreams, hopes and vision for the future. By achieving this empathetic perspective, each party is able to utilize the gifts, talents and life force (passion) that drive the other party/parties, to accomplish their mutual and ultimately their individual agenda/goals.
What is your understanding of your spouse’s dreams and goals for herself, for you, and for your family? Do you have a relationship with your boss that allows you to empathize with what motivates him or her, and do they have the same insight into your vision for your future? Do you know what makes your partner tick, and why he/she wakes up each morning and begins the workday?
Can you imagine the difference it would make if your partner in life and/or business, felt real and tangible moral and emotional support from you each day . . . day after day? Do you suppose they would strive to make your life easier, promote you more, encourage you and work harder to shoulder the burden and help you bear the weight of your workdays?
True collaboration means knowing why someone else gets up in the morning. It is being a part of the “others” process and success. Make 2014 the year you harness the power of combining your God given talents and insights with the talents and insights of the people you see and work with every day. It doesn’t have to be so hard.
